This trek along well preserved stretches of the Inca road to Machu Picchu takes you high over mountain passes and down in the middle of a tropical mountain forest through jungle covered Inca ruins before reaching Machu Picchu, making this one of the world's most beautiful treks.

DAY 1
Cusco - Llaqtapata

Transfer from Cusco to Chillca for the beginning of your trek at the Km 77. Five hours walk to the Llaqtapata ruins (2600 m.a.s.l ) with rest stops along the way. Exploration of the ruins and overnight


DAY 2
Llaqtapata - Llulluchapampa


Following the Kusichaca river, the trail leads to Wayllabamba, a quiet village of Inca origin and the last main settlement on the Inka trail route before Machupicchu. After lunch we go up crossing the valley of the same name to arrive at the camp of Llulluchapampa (3200 m.a.s.l).


DAY 3
Llulluchapampa - Puyupatamarca

Lunch at "Uma Kollo" Restaurant. Hydrofoil to Moon Island and visit the the Iñak Uyu Sun Virgin Temple on Moon Island, continue to Tiquina Straits where you see native ferries crossing cars and truck from one side to another. Continue on the small lake to Quewaya Island and visit the Uru Iruitos Floating Island and the sustainable tourism project on this island. A new and fantastic experience. DAY 4
Puyupatamarca - MachuPicchu


This day we descend towards the archaeological group of Wiñaywayna and we continue towards Intipunku or Door of the Sun, finally observing in the distance the wonderful citadel of Machupicchu. Later we arrive at the town of Aguas Calientes (2000 m) where we will spend the night.


DAY 5
MachuPicchu - Cusco

 
Very early in the morning we will take the bus to visit the fantastic stone edification of Machupicchu, probably the most outstanding feat of engineering in all of ancient America. Temples, stairways, palaces and gabled stone dwellings are scattered everywhere, testifying to the energy and ingenuity of the builders. Afternoon return by train to Cusco and finally the transfer from train station to your hotel.

To hike the Inka Trail is a thrilling experience and a very great privilege.

DAY 1
Puerto Maldonado


Upon arrival, reception , assisatnce and transfer to dock on Madre de Dios River for boat trip to lodge. After lunch, a guided jungle walk introduces visitors to the spectacular fauna and flora of this region. Lecture about medicinal plants of the Amazon Rain Forest.



DAY 2
Rainforest


Follow jungle trails from lodge to a nearby lake, home to scores of birds and caimans and a canoe ride. Lecture about medicinal plants of the Amazon Rain Forest.


DAY 3
Puerto Maldonado / Lima


Transfer down the river to the Puerto Maldonado airport for departure flight to Lima. In Lima, City tour offers the best of colonial and modern Lima. Included are Lima's most imposing colonial churches and mansions such as the Government Palace, the Plaza Mayor, the City Hall and the Cathedral, including 17th century San Francisco Monastery. The tour ends with a visit to the modern suburbs of San Isidro, passing by the pre-inca pyramid of Huaca Huallamarca before continuing to Miraflores, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. After dinner, transfer to the airport for your international connection.
