DAY 1
Reception in Lima

Upon your arrival, reception at the airport and transfer to the Hotel for overnight.


DAY 2
Arequipa

 
Transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. After lunch, city tour of Arequipa covering the most beautiful places of the "White City" (named this way because of the volcanic material that its mansions in downtown are made of). The Monastery of Santa Catalina that was opened to the public in 1971 after 400 years that remained closed, will be visited as well. Yoga, relaxation available. Overnight in Arequipa.


DAY 3
Colca Valley


Today you will be picked up from your hotel at 8 a.m. for the scenic bus ride to the Colca Canyon. On leaving Arequipa you will drive through the Aguada Blanca National Reserve where you will see herds of llamas and alpacas grazing on the Catahuasi plains. Then, you will reach the beginning of the Colca Canyon with its green valleys and andean terraces. Your trip will continue through the crater of the Chucura volcano, ending at the town of Chivay where hot springs are located. After accomodations at a local lodge, you will visit La Calera hot springs, where you can enjoy priviliged thermal medicinal baths. Dinner at the lodge.


DAY 4
Colca Valley


After breakfast, an early morning departure for the drive to the "Condor Cross", the best point for a breathtaking view of the Colca Canyon with the Colca river flowing 1,200 meters below and the majestic condors in flight above. Visit the Hanging Tombs at Choquetico before continuing on to the towns of Maca, Achoma and Yanque with its lovely white church. Return to Chivay for lunch before driving back to your hotel in Arequipa.
 


DAY 5
Cusco, City Tour & Nearby Ruins


Transfer to the airport in order to board your flight to Cusco. On arrival, meeting and transfer to your hotel. Later, tour of this beautiful city and surrounding ruins. You will visit the Koricancha, or Temple of the Sun, where you will appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas. The tour will take you to the Plaza de Armas, scene of so many historical events in Cusco during the Inca and Spanish reigns. Under a backdrop of the magestic Andean mountains and the remarkable Spanish Colonial architecture of the Cathedral and the Church of La Compañía, built on the foundations of Inca palaces, Cusco seems to have been frozen in time. The Cathedral, built in the form of a Latin cross, offers beautifully carved woodwork, especially in the side chapels and the cedar choir stalls; a baroque pulpit; the high alter covered in silver; and the interesting painting of the Last Supper by Marcos Zapata in which a guinea pig is depicted. Enjoy the drive to the Inca fortress of Sacsahuamán on the hill above the city of Cusco. The views from here down the Andean valley and overlooking the city are spectacular. You will continue on to the underground cave and temple of Kenko and then to Tambomachay, known as the "Baths of the Inca" due to its thermal springs. Drive back down to Cusco and your hotel.


DAY 6
Sacred Valley of the Incas


 
Visit to the colourful Indian market in Pisac to see a blend of color, tradition and people. At a distance of 30 Km. (19 miles) from Cusco, and an altitude of 2,970 meters (9,700 ft.), Pisac is located right at the entrance to the Sacred Valley. After lunch, continue to Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the Americas. Ollantaytambo's narrow streets, complete with canals unchanged since Inca times, recall its ancient heritage. Accommodation at selected hotel in the valley.

Novo Andean Cooking Lessons

During a relaxed evening, we will explain the incomparable advantages of the Andean cereals and tubers like kiwicha, quinua, maca, tarwi. Oca, etc. Then you will participate in Andean cooking lessons preparing delicious dishes (all vegetarian ), discovering the mysteries of Inca's cooking.


DAY 7
MachuPicchu


Transfer to the train station to catch the morning train for a two day tour of Machu Picchu, the "Lost City of the Incas" one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture. Surrounded by lush cloud forest, the citadel perches on a mist-shrouded mountaintop. Overnight in Aguas Calientes, little town located in the bottom of Machu Picchu. Yoga and relaxation available. Breakfast and lunch included.
 


DAY 8
Second Day Machu Picchu


Excellent opportunity for an early wake up to see the sun rising over Machu Picchu. Enjoy the ruins and watch the mist rise over this mountaintop citadel at dawn. Lecture about the cosmic energy prevailing in this area of the Andes. In the afternoon, return to Cusco and Accommodation.


DAY 9
Cusco / Lima / International Transfer


 
Transfer to the airport in Cusco to catch your flight to Lima. Transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, Lima city tour offers the best of colonial and modern Lima. Included are Lima's most imposing colonial churches and mansions such as the Government Palace, the Plaza Mayor, the City Hall and the Cathedral, including 17th century San Francisco Monastery. The tour ends with a visit to the modern suburbs of San Isidro, passing by the pre-inca pyramid of Huaca Huallamarca before continuing to Miraflores, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Return to the hotel. At the fixed time, transfer to the airport for your international connection.

DAY 1
Nazca


You will be driven 310 Km. (194 miles) south along the Panamericana highway from Lima to Ica, through arid desert and lush coastal oasis. Arrive in Ica at midday. Then, transfer to Nazca. In the afternoon, tour to Kantalloc Aqueducts, Paredones (and old Administrative Inca Centre). Overnight Cantayoc Hotel. Therapy of the sound, hydro massage and yoga available.


DAY 2
Nazca Lines


Flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines, as well as a brief explanation of them on the Maria Reiche In-Situ Museum. Covering an area of 200 square miles, the amazing lines and figures representing different animals are believed to be part of the largest astronomic calendar in the world. Vegetarian Lunch . Free Afternoon. Therapy of the sound, hydro massage and yoga available.


DAY 3
Ballestas Islands


A 60 Km. (37 miles) drive north to Paracas for an excursion by boat to the Ballestas Islands to view thousands of birds, sea lions and fur seals in their natural surroundings. The famous candlestick design, a Nazca civilisation figure etched on the desert face, can also be seen from the boat. In the afternoon, relaxing return to Lima. After dinner, transfer to the airport to catch your international connection.

DAY 1
Cusco/Puno

You will be transferred to Puno by bus. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of valleys nearby and the Raqchi Ruins, ancient Inca buildings. Visit Piquillacta which boasts some of the finest agricultural terracing ever built in the Cusco area and the village of Andahuaylillas to visit a seventeenth century church with an impressive organ decorated with angels and cherubs. Finally, visit the "Chullpas" of Sillustani, the burial towers made of stone. The arrival to Puno is in the late afternoon. Transfer to your Hotel.


DAY 2
Uros / Taquile


 
You will be guided in a full day tour, sailing Titicaca Lake, the highest in the world. Uros Islands, the remarkable floating reed islands - built on layers of totora reeds - home to the Uros Indians, who still live as their ancestors did a thousand years ago. Later, we will visit the Taquile Island, three and a half hours by boat from Puno; this remote island is a remarkable community where the islanders keep Quechua, the language of the Incas, alive. The outstanding highlight of its inhabitants is their handicraft derived from techniques developed over the centuries. Return to Puno for overnight.



DAY 3
Sun Island


Bus transfer from Puno to Copacabana, visiting on the road the churches of Juli and Pomata. Visit the shrine in Copacabana.

Hydrofoil cruise Copacabana / Sun Island

Soft trek from Pilcocaina Sun Temple to Posada del Inca.

In the afternoon, free to explore the surroundings.

Overnight at Sun Island ( Posada del Inca Lodge). Lecture about traditional medicine of the Aymaras ( pre Inca civilization).


DAY 4
Sun Island / Moon Island


Descend to the Yumani Hydro Harbour, visiting Sacred Fountain and Inca Steps.

Lunch at "Uma Kollo" Restaurant. Hydrofoil to Moon Island and visit the the Iñak Uyu Sun Virgin Temple on Moon Island, continue to Tiquina Straits where you see native ferries crossing cars and truck from one side to another. Continue on the small lake to Quewaya Island and visit the Uru Iruitos Floating Island and the sustainable tourism project on this island. A new and fantastic experience. Continue to Huatajata with the most panoramic view of the Royal Range of the Andes. Visit our "Andean Roots Eco-Village":
 

The most important cultural expression, created together with our native communities: The Altiplano Museum, the native Chapel and the botanical garden. The still alive Limachi brothers, builders of RA II and Tigris for Thor full size reproduction of RA II. The Eco Museum & the fishermen Chullpas (mortuary towers) and a sample of the Salt Lake. Transfer to your Hotel in La Paz. Lecture about traditional medicine of the Aymaras ( pre Inca civilization).


DAY 5
La Paz

AM Half Day City Tour of La Paz and Moon Valley La Paz is known as "the City of contrast" and it is a unique blend of Cultures and races. Located within breathtaking panoramas. This tour includes: Native, colonial and modern areas, Indian Market, Open Air Museum of Tiwanacu, Witch Doctor's Market and Moon Valley. (3 To 3 1/2 Hrs. Program). Free afternoon.


DAY 6
