Air Travel
Major international airlines offer regular flights to Peru from the United States and Europe to the international airport in Lima.
The main international carriers servicing Lima are:
American Airlines, Aerolineas Argentinas, Air Madrid, Avianca, Continental Airlines, Copa, Delta, Iberia, KLM, Lacsa, Lan Chile, Varig.
Peruvian Airlines also cover the main cities in the USA and Latin America:

Railroad Travel
The primary rail road in Peru, and the most used by tourists is the Southern Railroad.
The Cusco Machu Picchu run is 70 miles (115km) long, being the only connection between these two points, other than walking . The journey itself becomes a wonderful experience and visitors enjoy the countryside of the Sacred Valley, and the beautiful vegetation of the highland jungle.
Land Travel
The Peruvian highway system is made up of 44,000 miles (70,000 km). The most important road is the Pan American highway, which runs along the entire coast of the country from Tumbes in the North through Tacna, border with Chile.
The Libertadores-Wari highway from Lima to Ayacucho takes about eight hours and goes through deserts, high peaks and beautiful scenery. Other main highway is the Central Road, which links Lima with the Central Highlands and the Mantaro Valley (point of entry to the jungle).
Lake Transportation
Lake Titicaca in Puno at the Peru-Bolivia border is navigable all year round in all types of vessels. Boats leave the port of Puno to visit the ancestral Uros and Taquile Islands. There are also tourist boats that cross the lake from Peru to Bolivia, passing through the Bolivian port of Copacabana.
