Hotels
In the last 5 years, hotels in Peru have considerably improved. The major cities, Lima, Cusco, Arequipa, Puno, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Cajamarca have excellent, clean and secure hotels with international standards. However, the quality of hotels in smaller towns is very irregular. We recommend getting information from a reputable travel agent before traveling to the interior of the country.

Restaurants
The major cities in Peru have a great variety of restaurants. Restaurants in Peru offer excellent international and / or local cuisine and generally at very reasonable prices. Typical Peruvian food (comida criolla) is well known internationally, starting from the delicious cebiche, the local drink "pisco sour" and a great variety of dishes and desserts.

Urban Transportation: Taxis
In Peru, generally the cost of a taxi ride is bargained between driver and client, except in the case of radio taxis or hotel stationed cabs which have a fixed rate, a bit higher but more secure. From the airport to the districts of Miraflores, San Isidro or Downtown Lima, the fare of a regular street taxi should not exceed $10.00

Photo and Video
A good variety of photo and video film is available in Lima and the main tourist cities, but it is expensive. They become scarce in smaller towns. Film development services are also quite expensive.
