Packing List: When you plan to travel to Ecuador and take a cruise to Galapagos Islands, the unique wild life protection area, you should consider the following important packing list:
- Bags/Totes
- One small day pack
- Informal dress for dining ( shorts,sandals or swimming wear are not allowed at dinning room)
- Long-sleeved cotton shirts
- Lightweight ( cotton or other fast drying material) pair of slacks
- Shorts
- Windbreaker
- Sweater
- Brim hat
- Bathing suit
- Walking shoes ( Sneakers and rubber soles for the excursions)
- Thongs or Tevas ( are also allowed for some excursions and certainly yes on board the boat)
- Sun glasses ( with strap recommended)
- Sun block lotion ( at least protection 8, please note you will be right on the Equator where it could be nice and just sunny however the sun rays will be perpendicular and should be careful)
- Insect repellent ( mosquitos are NOT malaria carrying however may be a problem just in Bartolome Island from December to July)
- Personal medication
- Self-sealing bags for electronic equipment
- Camera and binoculares
- Film ( even though it is available on board it is always a good idea to bring the film that you regularly use as the specific kind you use may not be available on board)
