LA PAZ / LAKE TUNI / LAKE CONDORIRI

Tuni. The trek is flat until the foots of
the range, then continues uphill passing
one small lake, then a second one at the
foothills of the Condoriri mountain, where
the base camp is at an elevation of 4,650

- PEQUEÑO ALPAMAYO (5,400 m/17,705
ft) 8 hours round trip.
- JAWAKA (5,410 m/17,738 ft) 7 hours round
trip.
- CABEZA DE CONDOR - CONDORIRI (5,680 m/18,623
ft) 12 hours round trip. Very hard.
You have the option to climb any of these
three mountains, all are one day climbs.
The forth day hike down to Tuni lagoon,

m/11,807 ft). The hike begins passing
an area where people is dedicated to raise
llamas and sheep’s and agriculture
(potato, barley and quinua). Continues
to Puente Roto at the foothills of the
mountain, where the base camp is settle

The trail has lots of small stones and
few snow, is very steep until reaching
Nido de Condores, where the high camp

Climbing is very steep, first an ice wall
of 45 °, then a place called "stairway
to heaven", to later climb the southwest
peak towards east until reaching the top.

the highlands until the foothills of the
mountain, at La Rinconada. In the western

It is a very steep uphill climb until
the high camp (5 hours), known also as
Nido de Condores. (B, L, D)

SAJAMA SUMMIT – Base camp
You pass first a glacier, then many small
hills, one after another until reaching
the top (6 hours). Being at the highest
peak of Bolivia, majestic in the middle
of the highlands. Descend to high camp
(2 hours) and then to the base camp of
la Rinconada (2 hours). (B, L, D)

BASE CAMP / CALVARIO / SAJAMA / LA
PAZ
Today you’ll hike down to the valley
and enter the highlands, until the village
of Sajama, with a great option to recover
some energy at the local hot springs (3
hours). Transportation back to La Paz.
