WELCOME TO BANOS - 001
2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT

Central Highlands & Banos with Hacienda stay
This two day outing goes from Quito South to the Village of Banos, a picturesque place rich on scenery and thermal springs right at the base of Tungurahua Volcano. The drive itself shows a variety of terrain with temperate valleys and both of the towering andean ranges forming what von Humboldt called "The Avenue of the Volcanoes" and from Ambato East down into the valley of Patate with its productive fruit and vegetable land. Banos is located in this great canyon and displays a good variety of attractions, from its unique and peculiar church to crafting of many items. The thermal springs from the volcano are known to have medicinal properties, so a visit here is almost a must. Down bellow the Pastaza River canyon is a collection of beautiful waterfalls and great nature trails. Stay a the lovely Hacienda Leito located on the area of Patate. The second day enjoy the grounds with great scenery, hiking trails and horseback riding and from there return to Quito.

4 DAYS / 3 NIGHT

BANOS AND CUENCA - The Best of the Central and Southern Highlands
This four day package displays perhaps the best sample of what the Central and Southern Highlands of Ecuador can show. Starts from Quito and will drive to the South along the so called Avenue of the Volcanoes towards the village of Banos with its green lush scene loaded on waterfalls and deep canyons. From there continue South to Riobamba and on to Cuenca with the dramatic change on scenery from towering volcanoes to major gorges with scattered villages until the Inca ruins of Ingapirca. From there continue to Cuenca and enjoy its lovely atmosphere of colonial treasure turned into a Cultural Site by Unesco recently.
All in all, have a full view of the Andes on its whole dimension and beauty.

3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS

Banos and Surroundings

Depending on the day of the week, visit a local market and from Ambato East down into the valley of Patate with its productive fruit and vegetable land. Banos is located in this great canyon and displays a good variety of attractions, from its unique and peculiar church to crafting of many items. The thermal springs from the volcano are known to have medicinal properties so are almost a must. The second day dedicated to the Pastaza River canyon is a collection of beautiful waterfalls and great nature trails. The third day, the village of Banos and its many attractions. Return to Hacienda Leito for lunch and from there return to Quito in the afternoon.
