Plaza
de Armas
Considered to be the heart of the city, since
the Incas time, when it was called Aucaypata (Warriors
Plaza) being twice the size of today's plaza.
This was the place of assemblies, parades and
other civic ceremonies, surrounded by Incas Palaces.
Around the Plaza de Armas, today we find very
beautiful colonial churches.
San Blas
Considered to be the district of artists and craftsmen,
with steep narrow streets and beautiful colonial
homes and churches.
Plaza Las Nazarenas
It was considered the House of Knowledge during
Inca Times. Some of its colonial buildings are
now the impressive Monasterio Hotel and the Church
of San Antonio Abad.
Hatun Rumiyoc
Where the famous stone of twelve angles can be
seen as part of the stonewall of the Inca Roca
Palace.
