In this area, we find the majority of Chile's economic and cultural activities, including the major businesses, services, and industries. Santiago, the capital of the country, is a large and modern urban center, known internationally for its safety, economic development, and stable politics. This city is the starting point to discover all of the tourist attractions of Chile. Just outside the city there are a number of places to visit, such as Cajon del Maipo (located at the foot of the Andes Mountains), excellent ski resorts, and a number of valleys in which the exquisite Chilean wine is produced.

On the central coast of Chile the cities of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar are perched clumsily on the large hills along the Pacific, receiving visitors with an attractive offering of excellent restaurants, night life, and cultural activities.

A visit to the port of Valparaiso allows you to appreciate its interesting architecture and the overall feeling of the city; characteristics that made UNESCO declare it to be a World Heritage Site.
