| North
The North of Chile is the perfect spot for all those who hope to find a landscape that is moving for both its beauty and its people.
The Chilean Altiplano (High Plateau) is located between 3,500 and 5,000 meters. With its salt flats, fertile oases, elevated volcanoes and national parks full of surprising wildlife, it seduces even the most experienced traveler. In the whole area, we find picturesque villages of the indigenous group, the Aymara, descendents of the ancient culture that inhabited South America, and that still preserves its ancestral ways of life.
The Atacama Desert deserves to be mentioned apart from all the rest. In addition to being the most arid desert of the world, it is also the most attractive, with startling landscapes, and a great number of archaeological vestiges that you cannot miss when seeking adventure and scenic beauty.
Along the 2,000 km of the northern coast of Chile are located several urban centers such as Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, and La Serena, all of which have a very interesting historic, cultural and architectural heritage along with all of the necessary services for a pleasant stay. We should also add that there are a number of beautiful beaches with calm clear water and fine white sand.
